Routine Services

Well-child care is a check up for success.

Taking your child to the doctor when they are injured or sick is one type of visit. Well-child visits are also important. It is a time for scheduled vaccinations and to see how much your child has grown in the past few months.

Well-child care also is a chance to raise questions and concerns about your child’s development, behavior, and general well-being — questions that are difficult to discuss during sick visits.

These visits are not only for your infant and toddler. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends that all young people aged eleven to twenty-one be seen annually by their pediatrician as well. The pediatrician decides what needs to be done at each annual visit depending on what has been happening in your teen’s life and what tests have been done in the past.
